About Dr Wilkin

Dr. Peter Wilkin, MB.ChB. M.Sc. DMsMed. FLCOM.
Specialist in Musculoskeletal Medicine & Osteopath.

After medical school and further hospital training, he spent 10 years as a General Practitioner before specialising in Musculoskeletal Medicine. He qualified as an osteopath in 1989, and received a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine in 1994, followed by an MSc in 2000.

Dr Wilkin has over 15 years experience as a specialist in musculoskeletal medicine and osteopathy. He works in private practice and in a NHS hospital Rheumatology department. His interests include sports medicine and related injuries, and the use of EMG/nerve conduction studies in the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

He is a tutor and faculty member of the London College of Osteopathic Medicine (Marylebone), and a member of the British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr Wilkin is recognised as a consultant by BUPA, and AXA/PPP as well as most other insurance companies. (special arrangements may be needed with Norwich Union). Fees vary with the treatment required, but are in line with levels recognised by insurance companies.
